Random voice chat means you're paired with someone you don't know, in a private one-on-one conversation, rather than a public room. The match is chosen for you by your interests and preferences, so you can skip straight past small talk and start getting to know someone.

How Catcall Works

2. Choose who you'd like to meet and the kind of conversation you prefer
3. Publish your profile to the live queue
4. Catcall pairs you with a compatible match
5. Start a voice or text conversation, and end it whenever you like

When you're matched, audio uses a direct peer-to-peer connection that's encrypted in transit for low-latency calls. Text messages are relayed through our servers so they stay reliable. You can talk, type, or do both during the same private conversation.

Not every conversation has the same tone. Catcall lets you pick the style you're looking for, and matches you with people who picked the same style. Your other matching filters — interests and gender preferences — still apply either way.

Uncensored Conversations

It describes a conversation style — it does not disable interest or gender matching.

Uncensored matching works the same way as normal matching, but it only pairs people who both chose the Uncensored preference. Nobody ends up in a conversation style they didn't choose. You can turn Uncensored off at any time.

How does Uncensored matching work?

Matching separates conversation styles on the server. If you choose Uncensored, you're only paired with people who also chose Uncensored. If you choose Normal, you're only paired with people who chose Normal. Your interests and gender preferences are still applied on top of that.

Can I turn Uncensored off?

Yes. The conversation-style toggle is just a preference on your profile. Switch it back to Normal at any time and your next match will come from the normal conversation pool.

Can I choose between different conversation styles?

Yes. On the home page you can choose between the regular random voice chat style and the optional Uncensored style. Your choice is saved to your profile and used for matching until you change it.
